One Year Of ‘R.PLACE’
We’re celebrating one year since Roos Beach became R.PLACE, and what a year it’s been…
With 12 brilliant years of Roo’s Beach under our belt and a whole host of changes in that time, we felt it was the right time to move forward with a new name above the door. This allowed us to connect the dots of who we are and where we’re going, R.PLACE was born.
Same location, same team, same brands - new name.

Launch Party
Never one to need an excuse to throw a party - we held an almighty bash at the store to celebrate the new change. We were blown away by the positive response we received from our community far and wide - everyone made it a night to remember, all be it a few sore heads the following day.

RGOODS
Our in house project, R.GOODS got a whole new host of shapes and colours for the tail end of Summer. We assembled an all star team of friends and family to shoot our campaign.

Added More Brands To The Roster
For AW25, we welcomed 8 new brands to the fold. Searching, sourcing and bringing new and exciting brands to our corner of the South West is something Roo and Joe are incredibly passionate about….

Saturday sessions
November came before we knew it! we got our heads together with some of our favourite local businesses to host a different event, in the store, on every Saturday of the month. We were lucky enough to be joined by Gorse Bakery, Origin Coffee, Bluntrock Brewery and Wanderlust wines. All bringing their brilliant and delicious goods for everyone to try and purchase.

Store Reno
As we were leaving the depths of winter - a coversation quickly turned into a week long shop closure and the team (and professionals) jumped on the tools to expand our Menswear space. Reconfiguring the shop floor has been so positive - not only giving more space to our growing menswear department but improving the general flow through the store.

The Sunday Times
Sunday Times Top 20 Independent Shops - this one caught us off guard! Honored, ecstatic and quietly screaming, we were so incredibly grateful to be mentioned amongst some of the most inspiring and beautiful stores around the UK.

ORIGIN X R.PLACE
After 10 years of working with Origin coffee - it was time to celebrate the ongoing relationship with custom packaging - allowing everyone to buy into our inhouse coffee in bean and ground form, from our coffee hut and main store.

Four Boys
We eat there - they shop here. Over a glass or two of wine during a visit to the fantastic Four Boys Cafe in Rock, Roo and Four boys owner, George thought a collaboration was a no-brainer. Fast forward two 4 months - they turned up to serve Red Mullet BBQ buns for an evening oF music, drink and tasty food. Safe to say it went down well with the community - with the boys selling out in an hour and a half…..

Damson X Nonna’s
A mutual love for good food and nice stuff. Jade of Naughty Nonna’s might be Damson Madders best, unofficial ambassador we’ve ever seen, wearing everything they make impeccably. When we caught wind of a new homewares collection aptly named Nonna’s House - it was just a matter or connecting the dots to host a supper club in celebration of the brands newest collection. Selling out swiftly and bringing the communities mutual love for Damson Madder together over an arancini and, green lasagne and neopolitan tiramisu.

Finished the year in Paris
With Spring Summer ’27 buying in full swing, Joe and Roo ventured off on their bi-annual trip to Paris for an incredibly hot, but inspiring 4 days in the French capital, sourcing brands that shape the year ahead. Some very nice stuff on the horizon…..
