Hello from me! Wow- what a whirlwind 6 months we’ve had, starting with our re-brand back in June from Roo’s Beach to R.Place.

For those of you who’re new to us, I just wanted to introduce myself - I’m Roo; founder and self-professed shopaholic!

Firstly, the rebrand has been SO well received. I was nervous about it as it’s been my name over the door for the past 13 years but it felt like it was time to move it forward and reflect the direction that the business is going in.  We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response that we’ve had to our new sign and branding and with it we’ve gained lots of new followers, customers and fabulous new brands which is always exciting.

Summer has been one of the best yet, what glorious weather, wall to wall sunshine for weeks, exactly what Summer should be! Plenty of time spent on the beach and in the sea and lots of happy, sun kissed faces around.

My summer highlights were seeing Oasis in concert - they were honestly one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen, so polished, passionate and nostalgic and what a fantastic crowd! I saw them at Wembley with Ian and our besties!

We discovered a new coastline of Spain - the Costa Brava and specifically a quaint little village called Llafranc, about 45 mins from Girona, so chilled and low key - delicious food, sandy beaches and crystal clear waters to swim in - blissful.

I also discovered the St Kew Farm Shop which I had been meaning to visit for a while and now I can’t get enough of it, they’ve absolutely nailed it, such a great curation of food, gifts, plants and a wonderful cafe all run by a lovely, welcoming team, if you haven’t been there go and visit, it’s a real treat!

Onto Autumn, and wow - we’re really excited about what we really think is our best collection to date! I know I always say that but I really do believe this one is a hard one to beat!  We’ve welcomed Agolde jeans to the brand list, honestly the best denim I’ve ever tried on, I went to Liberty to try them last year and was 100% sold the moment I put a pair on, my go to are the Low Slung Baggy - exactly the shape I love and the denim feels SO good on your legs which I realise is an odd thing to say but it’s true!

YMC has had an unbelievable season and just seems to go from strength to strength, the Deadbeats being our highlight - who would have thought such an exaggerated shape of trousers could become such a best seller, we had them in 3 different fabrics for AW25 and they’ve almost all sold out but fear not we have a large re-stock on the way and are hoping to have them well before Christmas…

Beams Boy - my personal guilty pleasure has also had a great season so far. We love this brand, it’s still so new to the UK market and we feel so lucky to have it in our brand portfolio. They are the loveliest team to deal with and so talented and passionate about what they do.  We have Drop 2 arriving soon and within it is this amazing fleece tank top AND this duffle coat!!!

We’re excited to bring a new style to our ever popular r.goods range in the next couple of weeks… You’ll have to wait for more details but we believe it’ll join the ranks of the Lucy and Ruby to become a solid wardrobe staple.

We have some new team members which always brings an injection of energy and talent to the mix, I’m sure you’ve seen them on the socials - Grace, Betta and Lucy.  We’ll also be waving off Penny in a couple of weeks for an exciting extended trip to New Zealand and South America but fear not she’ll be back in time for Easter with new ideas and a spring in her step!

We’re racing head-on into our Christmas campaign planning, SS26 buying has been completed and Joe and I will head to Paris again in January to start on AW26 - all the good stuff and we’re so thankful to everyone who believes in us, supports us and is part of our journey, we couldn’t do it without you!

Until next time…

Roo xx
