As we reach the end of August and our summer season starts to wind down, we thought it was the perfect time for the ultimate R.PLACE summer round-up.
From book reviews and our favourite festival to the places we've been loving, and even a hand-picked playlist of all the R.Place tracks that have soundtracked our summer.
Here’s a little look back at what we've been up to…

What a treat - Roo herself has created the ultimate summer feel-good playlist for the bank holiday weekend.
Scan the QR code to hear what’s been blasting through the speakers at R.PLACE all summer long. Expect feel-good favourites, groovy classics and a few of Roo’s personal picks from festivals, the radio and her own summer soundtrack.

Roo’s Summer Book Selection
Recently, we have introduced some fiction books to the R.PLACE bookshelves.
Roo has picked out a few of her favourites and given us a first-hand review of the books she’s been loving this summer.
If you’re after a page-turner or a holiday read, give these a go…

Foodie Favourites
We are creatures of habit at R.PLACE, but this summer we’ve ventured out and discovered a few new gems across Cornwall.
First up, the new Buccas Kitchen at Retorrick Mill. Food cooked over fire, an amazing atmosphere and some seriously delicious oysters. A very good place to start.
Grace headed to seafood favourite Prawn on the Lawn in Padstow for her anniversary. Think frozen spicy margaritas, an attentive and intimate setting, and fish straight from the boats in Padstow Harbour. Just delicious.
And finally, a new one to add to the roster: Fern, Paul Welburn’s new countryside restaurant near Bodmin. Led by the seasons, with a menu built around the very best produce Cornwall has to offer. A beautiful new addition to the Cornish food scene and definitely one to have on your radar.

Our Festival Pick
Not only do we love fashion, but we also love a good boogie in a field.
We wanted to highlight our festival of the summer: We Out Here. Created by Gilles Peterson and set in the beautiful Dorset countryside, it’s just incredible. Think brilliant music, a wonderfully relaxed and diverse crowd, and the friendliest atmosphere.
Roo came back absolutely buzzing and the rest of us have been left with serious FOMO. So much so that we’ve all got our tickets for next year and are shutting the shop for a weekend in August…
Jokes. Unless?

August Over And Out…
And that’s a wrap for August…
A huge thank you to everyone who visited us over the summer. Whether you popped in for a browse, stopped by for a coffee, or picked up a new favourite piece. We’re so grateful for your support.
We’ve had such a fantastic few months at R.Place, and it’s been so lovely to see the shop buzzing throughout the summer.
Roll on September…
